40 Years of Caring for Branchville: Our Anniversary Story

DoctorsSome practices mark an anniversary with a sale. We’re marking ours with gratitude.

Forty years is a long time to be doing anything. It’s long enough to watch the children you adjusted grow up, start families, and walk back through your door with their own kids in tow. That’s not a statistic. That’s a relationship, and it’s one we don’t take lightly.

Branchville Family Chiropractic opened in 1986, founded by Dr. Greg Stetzel with a vision as straightforward as it was enduring: help families in Sussex County live healthier, more balanced lives. That vision wasn’t complicated. But simple doesn’t mean small. What Dr. Greg built over those first years became something much bigger than a chiropractic office. It became a fixture in this community.

From Route 206 to Generations of Families

Young-Dr-GregDr. Greg Stetzel chose Branchville deliberately. Sussex County wasn’t just where he opened a practice; it was where he decided to belong. From the beginning, his goal was straightforward: give local families a place to get well and stay well, rooted in honest chiropractic care and genuine community investment. He coached, he volunteered, he showed up. The practice became what it did because he did.

Over four decades, that foundation held. Families who first came in with back pain kept coming back for wellness. Kids who grew up getting adjusted started bringing their own families in. That kind of loyalty doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when people feel like they matter, and at this practice, they always have.

The Things Only Time Can Teach You

One of the things you learn after four decades in practice is that chiropractic care is about how we heal, not just how we feel. The body has a remarkable capacity to maintain and restore function when the spine is moving the way it should. We’ve always believed in that. And we’ve spent many years building a practice around helping people understand it.

We’ve also learned that trust is built slowly. It’s built visit by visit, family by family. It’s built when you’re honest about what chiropractic can and can’t do. When you take the time to explain the recommendations and the reasoning. When you’re still here 10, 20, 30 years later. That kind of trust isn’t something you market. It’s something you earn.

Continuing the Mission

Dr. Kim Stetzel came on board in 1998, bringing 11 years of her own practice experience from Lake Hopatcong with her. She stepped into a thriving office and made it her own, deepening the focus on pediatric and prenatal chiropractic while keeping the community-first values Dr. Greg established firmly intact.

She has served on the NJ Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the Sherman College Board of Trustees, the League of Chiropractic Women, and as Branchville Rotary president. But what defines Dr. Kim at the practice level is simpler than a résumé. Patients trust her. Families return. That continuity is the whole point.

“So many of our patients started with us as children, and now they’re walking back through our doors with their own kids. Being that multigenerational practice—the place families return to decade after decade—that’s what fills my heart about this work,” shares Dr. Kim.

Celebrating With the Community That Made It Possible

This May 26-28, we’re opening our doors for a special anniversary celebration (the office will be closed Memorial Day, May 25, so plan accordingly). We’re offering a $40 New Patient Evaluation during celebration week, along with raffle drawings, chiropractic trivia, and a chance to meet the team. If you’ve been thinking about making an appointment, this is a pretty good time to do it.

To every family who has been part of this multi-decade journey: thank you. You’ve trusted us with your health, referred your friends and neighbors, and made this practice what it is. We don’t take that for granted.

Here’s to four decades and counting!
