By executive order, Governor Murphy has designated healthcare appointments, such as chiropractic adjustments,  an allowed reason to leave the home. Branchville Family Chiropractic will stay open to ensure the health of our practice members.

Your health and the health of this community is of our utmost concern and we are taking all the necessary steps to follow all state and national regulations to ensure your health and safety. While our office is cleaned regularly, we have scheduled additional deep cleaning services to put your minds at ease.

Here is an overview of the steps we are taking:

  • Temporary removal of the toy section.

  • We will be checking you in for your appointments to reduce touch points.

  • Cleaning of all patient touch surfaces, door handles, etc (every 15 minutes or more).

  • Sanitizing hands, facepieces and hand rests between each patient.

  • Spread out scheduling to support social distancing.       Please either schedule your appointment or call/text the office when you get into the parking lot.       If there is another car in the parking lot, please wait until someone comes out until you enter the office.

  • Continued common-sense practices surrounding hygiene and hand washing.

We will be operating without support staff for the next few weeks. For everyone’s safety, we will limit the amount of people we have in our office so please CALL FIRST:  973-948-5556 or TEXT to 973-571-3401.

*On that note, if you are sick (have a fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea or other symptoms of CoVid), have traveled internationally in the last 3 weeks, have been in a highly infected area (NYC) or have potentially been exposed to COVID-19, please give us a call or text to  to reschedule your appointments*

The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards states that doctors of Chiropractic are essential healthcare providers, ready to serve their communities both in daily care and in times of urgent need.

The International Chiropractic Association is reissuing a statement reaffirming Chiropractic as an essential healthcare service.  Chiropractic services represent an essential and necessary component of the health care of millions of patients of all ages and walks of life. Consistent and timely access to chiropractic care is essential to the maintenance of the health and well being of the entire population, especially under times of stress. Remember, high stress = low immune system so come in and get adjusted to reduce the stress levels!

As primary, portal of entry doctors, chiropractors are licensed and trained to provide all three levels of health promotion and healthcare prevention interventions including:

  • Primary prevention healthcare that prevents the onset of illness or injury before problems begin.

  • Secondary prevention healthcare that leads to early evaluation and prompt management of disease, illness or injury to prevent more severe problems developing.

  • Tertiary prevention healthcare aimed at recovery following illness.

5 Tips to Support Your Family’s Health and Immunity

Along with good hygiene habits like washing your hands with soap and water and minimizing touching your face, there are many other things you can do to support your health and immune system.

  1. Get Adequate Sleep: Use this time to reevaluate your nighttime routines and sleep patterns. Lack of sleep has a massive impact on the responsiveness of your immune system. Aim for 7-8 hours per night for adults and 10-12 for children. Avoid technology and screens at least 60 minutes before sleep time.

  2. Assess your Nutrition: It is imperative we feed our body nutrient-dense, high quality foods to support optimum overall functioning. Are you eating lots of vegetables and seasonal fruits? Are you purchasing local and/or organic foods? Organic quality is of particular importance for your protein and dairy choices. For a list of the best fruits and vegetables to buy organic, simply google “Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen”. If you need guidance with your nutrition, please let us know! We are here to support you!

  3. Hydrate with beverages that do not contain sugar and caffeine.

  4. Exercise and move “Nutritiously” throughout your day. Aim for at least 20-30 min of exercise daily. Light exercise has been shown to augment the functionality of the immune system (so now is the time to get out and move your body on a daily basis)!

  5. Get Adjusted: Chiropractic Care has been shown in several studies to have a positive effect on the immune system. Case studies show that including chiropractic care as a part of your health care routines help to support wellness year after year.

It is so much easier to keep “well people well”, then to help them heal from full-blown sickness. Invest in the tips above and you will go a long way to create a strong “terrain” which can be inhospitable to viral and bacterial infections.

And remember, even if you do get sick, staying vigilant with these habits will be more likely to help you recover faster.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, our country and all affected at this time.
